How to apply
Application for the winter term 2020/2021
Application start and deadlines: for degree programmes with restricted admissions (NC), you can probably apply starting in early July. The application deadlines for all Bachelor and Master programmes will be extended by four weeks (exception: Bachelor programmes with an aptitude test).
This time, the application via uni-assist is completely online. In this exceptional case, certified copies do not have to be sent to uni-assist additionally by post.
Language skills: Please only apply if you have sufficient language skills! At the moment there are no language tests in many countries. In this case you can apply with a certificate of participation. If you are admitted, the corresponding language certificate must be presented to the SSC at the latest when enrolling.

Applying with international school-leaving or university certificates
There is a separate application process for students applying with foreign credentials, regardless of their citizenship.
Specific academic qualifications are required to study at an institute of higher education in Germany. Formal admission criteria are the same throughout Germany and are based on the specifications of the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZaB) located in Bonn, as well as the Hessian Ministry for Science and the Arts. In its anabin database, ZaB publishes information on how school and educational qualifications are evaluated. This information is currently available in German only.
The application procedure depends on the individual program. For some programs, you have to apply through Uni-Assist, some other programs allow a direct application at the faculty. Please check the corresponding webpage of the program for the correct application process.
